WooCommerce add-onv4.1.7

# Grow your WooCommerce store *by asking.*

Run a weekend sale, fill in the catalog, see what sells and get found by shoppers who ask ChatGPT. Claude, ChatGPT or the AI you already use does the work, every change lands on a copy first, and anything can be undone for 90 days.

[Get the add-on](https://www.respira.press/dashboard/billing?tab=addons) [€95 a year, included in Studio](#pricing)

- **104** store tools
- **6** shopping feeds
- **0–100** AI-readiness score
- **90 days** of undo

A demo store: a weekend sale by prompt, best sellers, the whole variation matrix, the catalog score for AI shopping, product cards in your builder and 90 days of undo.

## Be found by shoppers who ask AI.

AI assistants already recommend products, and they can only recommend what they can read. The add-on makes your catalog readable, entirely on your own server.

A score for every product

A 0 to 100 AI-readiness score per product and for the whole catalog, with the weakest products first.

A fixlist the AI works through

Descriptions, brands, GTINs, image alt text and category mapping, in order, each mapped to the tool that fixes it.

Feeds in six formats

Google Shopping, OpenAI (ChatGPT), Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and CSV, rebuilt on a schedule, plus an llms.txt at your site root.

Cart links with attribution

Signed links fill a shopper’s cart and land on your own checkout, and the order is attributed to the assistant that sent it.

Respira ARC, the free plugin with the readable half (feeds, llms.txt, the score and cart links), is included. With the add-on you never need both. [Meet Respira ARC](https://www.respira.press/arc)

## Ask in your own words.

Real requests, and what the add-on does with each. They work the same from [Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or any MCP app](https://www.respira.press/integrations) you connect.

- Make every hoodie 20% off this weekend.
Schedules the sale with a start and an end, shows you the old and new prices first, and keeps the originals to roll back to.
- Which products sold best last month?
Answers from your own orders and says which period and which orders the number covers, without exposing customer details.
- Get the catalog ready for ChatGPT shopping.
Scores every product, works through the fixlist (descriptions, GTINs, image alt text, categories) and rebuilds the OpenAI feed.
- Add sizes S to XL in forest, sand and white.
Generates the whole variation matrix in one call, missing attribute terms included, as a preview before anything is written.
- Put a sale badge on everything discounted.
Places the badge inside the product image, through your block theme’s own product template, and skips products that already have one.
- What will run out before the weekend?
Finds products under your stock threshold and adjusts stock in bulk, with a snapshot behind every change.
- Put subscription #2210 on hold.
Changes the status only to one WooCommerce Subscriptions allows, as a dry run first. Bookings and Memberships work the same way.
- Refund order #1842, the jacket arrived damaged.
Shows the amount and moves no money. When you confirm, the refund is issued, capped to what is left to refund, and logged.

## Nothing reaches your store without your yes.

A store is money and customers, so every write goes through the same four steps, whichever AI app sends it.

1. 01
### A copy first
Products are duplicated before an edit, variations, images and metadata included. On approval the changes merge back into the original product ID, so your Google and Meta catalogs never see a new product.
2. 02
### A preview before anything moves
Refunds, bulk price changes and whole variation matrices run as dry runs first. You see the amounts and the rows before anything is written, and a refund is capped to what the order can still refund.
3. 03
### Your yes
Changes wait for you to approve them. Money moves only when you confirm the refund.
4. 04
### 90 days of undo
A snapshot is taken before and after every write, so products and prices can be rolled back for 90 days, and every refund is logged.

### And the guardrails around them

- Payment gateways, shipping zones and tax settings are read only. Your AI can reason about checkout without being able to change it.
- A price move over 50%, a discount deeper than 70% or a stock swing over 1,000 units stops and names the rule until you confirm it. Every limit is yours to raise.
- Text a stranger typed at checkout, in an address line or an order note, cannot instruct your AI.
- A write to something the AI never read is flagged in the response and the audit log.
- Customer passwords are generated and never returned, and reports keep customer details private.
[How the safety model works](https://www.respira.press/docs/woocommerce/safety)

## Built for the stack you already run.

For developers and agencies, the details that decide whether this belongs on a client’s store.

Its own routes and safety envelope

The tools run through Respira’s own REST routes, each with a snapshot, dry run and audit entry. They never collide with WooCommerce’s own abilities.

Works next to the official WooCommerce MCP

Keep WooCommerce’s own abilities connected. The add-on runs in its own namespace and never shadows them, and adds the safety layer, the storefront and the growth tools.

HPOS-compatible reports

Revenue, a sales time series, top products and orders, each stating its metric definitions and the coverage behind the number.

Block themes and page builders

Storefront tools read the native block template first and fall back to the page builder: product cards in Elementor, Divi, Bricks and Flatsome today. Other builders get a clear unsupported answer, never a false success.

The big extensions

Write tools for Subscriptions, Bookings and Memberships, tested against the real plugins, plus STAGGS product configurators.

Webhooks behind approval

Native WooCommerce webhooks, HTTPS targets only, topics from an allowlist, secrets write-only and never returned.

### The tools, by area

Storefront intelligence

Tools that read product card structure and connect commerce data to visual layout. Since 4.0 they look at the native block template first and fall back to the page builder, so a block theme gets real structural analysis instead of "no page builder detected".

- analyze\_shop\_page
- analyze\_product\_page
- analyze\_storefront\_card
- update\_storefront\_card\_field
- update\_product\_card\_layout
- add\_low\_stock\_badge
- add\_sale\_badge
- update\_checkout\_layout
Store reports

Bounded, HPOS-compatible reporting: revenue, a sales time series, top products, orders and privacy-safe customer summaries. Every report states its metric definitions and the coverage behind the number, so an agent quoting it can say where it came from.

- revenue\_summary
- sales\_timeseries
- top\_products
- orders\_summary
- customers\_summary
Store configuration discovery

Read-only discovery of how the store is actually set up: general configuration, payment gateways, shipping zones and tax rates. An agent can reason about checkout without being able to change any of it.

- get\_store\_configuration
- list\_payment\_gateways
- list\_shipping\_zones
- list\_tax\_rates
Webhooks

Approval-gated management of native WooCommerce webhooks. HTTPS targets only, topics from an allowlist, secrets write-only and never returned, test deliveries redacted and rate limited.

- list\_webhooks
- get\_webhook
- create\_webhook
- update\_webhook
- test\_webhook
- delete\_webhook
Catalog operations

Advanced filtering, natural language search, catalog health audits, and bulk updates with snapshot safety.

- list\_products\_advanced
- bulk\_update\_products
- catalog\_health
- find\_product
Brands

Full brand CRUD on the WooCommerce 9.4+ product\_brand taxonomy (or the Brands plugin on older stores), plus brand assignment on product create and update.

- list\_brands
- get\_brand
- create\_brand
- update\_brand
- delete\_brand
Pricing

Bulk price changes with dry-run preview, sale scheduling with date validation, and snapshot-based rollback.

- bulk\_update\_prices
- schedule\_sale
- revert\_pricing
Variations and swatches

Variable products done right: variation CRUD, one-call matrix generation with a dry-run preview, global attributes, and the WooCommerce 10.9 colour/image swatches.

- generate\_variations
- create\_variation
- set\_product\_attributes
- create\_global\_attribute (wc-visual)
- set\_variation\_gallery
Coupons and customers

Coupon create, update, and list plus customer create and update, with the same safety envelope. PII-aware: passwords auto-generate and are never returned.

- list\_coupons
- create\_coupon
- update\_coupon
- create\_customer
- update\_customer
Orders and refunds

Order notes and refunds. Refunds are dry-run by default, money only moves when you explicitly say so, and are capped to the order’s remaining refundable total.

- add\_order\_note
- create\_order\_refund (dry-run default)
- get\_order\_refunds
- update\_order\_status
AI-readiness

A 0–100 score for how ready your catalog is for AI agents and AI shopping, across completeness, schema, content and policy, with the weakest products and exact gaps surfaced.

- product\_ai\_readiness
- catalog\_ai\_readiness
Inventory

Stock level management and low-stock detection with configurable thresholds.

- bulk\_update\_stock
- find\_low\_stock
Product feeds + llms.txt

Always-fresh catalog feeds in six formats (Google Shopping XML, OpenAI JSONL, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, CSV) plus a store llms.txt at the site root. Built in the background, served as static files from your own server. Since 4.0 the build health of Action Scheduler is visible and stale locks are detectable: status stays read-only, and the repair tool clears only a confirmed-stale Respira lock while preserving scheduler history.

- configure\_feed
- generate\_feed
- get\_feed\_status
- validate\_feed
- set\_feed\_category\_mapping
- repair\_feed\_scheduler
Readiness autofix

The score becomes a work queue: an ordered fixlist mapping every failing check to the tool that fixes it, plus GTIN, gallery and image-alt writes so the agent can finish the job itself.

- readiness\_fixlist
- set\_image\_alt
- update\_product (global\_unique\_id, gallery)
Assisted checkout + attribution

Signed cart links an agent can hand a shopper: the cart fills server-side and lands on your own checkout. Orders are attributed to their agent source via WooCommerce native attribution plus order meta.

- create\_cart\_link
- agent\_orders\_report
Product configurator (STAGGS)

Read and edit STAGGS product configurators: enable per product, list attribute groups, and rewrite option items through the STAGGS/Carbon Fields helpers so storage stays consistent. Off-allow-list keys refuse the whole request.

- configurator\_status
- set\_product\_configurator
- set\_configurator\_items
- get\_plugin\_state
- +4 more
Subscriptions, Bookings, Memberships

Write tools for the three big WooCommerce extensions, tested against the real plugins: status transitions validated against what each extension allows, booking reschedules with conflict scans, all dry-run by default.

- update\_subscription\_status
- reschedule\_booking
- update\_membership\_status
- +11 more

## Next to the official WooCommerce MCP.

WooCommerce gives every store a standard base for AI, and it grows with every release. Keep it connected. Respira is the layer you add when you want the AI to act on a live store safely, and to help the store grow.

### What WooCommerce gives every store

- Canonical abilities for products and orders, through the WordPress Abilities API and the MCP Adapter
- Abilities arriving in its extensions, from Subscriptions to WooPayments, read only for now
- WordPress permissions on every call, and honest read-only annotations
- Built in and free

### What Respira adds on top

- Changes on a copy first, a preview before anything moves, your approval, and 90 days of undo
- The rest of the store: variations and swatches, brands, coupons, customers, refunds, reports
- The storefront: product cards in Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Flatsome and block themes, and sale badges on block themes
- Growth: the AI-readiness score and fixlist, six shopping feeds, llms.txt and attributed cart links

5.0

> “I love Respira! I can now literally have a chat with Claude Code and have it update my Wordpress sites with no fuss. The MCP Server/Plugin combo is secure and robust - it's saving me hours updating client sites. it handles plugins, Elementor, the admin and front end of my sites. What's great as well is that the developer is responsive, friendly and rolls out improvements regularly. Highly recommended!”

> “Mihai, just wanted to say thanks for building Respira. I run a chiropractic clinic in Adelaide and I'm using Claude AI to rebuild my entire website in Bricks Builder. Respira filled a gap nothing else could: letting Claude actually read and write Bricks content through MCP. The fact that you built this as a solo developer, listened to early feedback, and kept shipping updates is genuinely impressive. Rooting for you and the product. Keep going! 🎉🚀”

## Questions.

What is a WooCommerce MCP?

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor read and edit your store directly. Respira is the WooCommerce MCP that covers the full store surface, 104 tools across products, variations, brands, coupons, customers, orders and refunds, with a snapshot, a dry-run preview and an approval step on every change.

Is it safe to let AI edit my WooCommerce store?

With Respira, yes. Every write is duplicate-first and snapshotted before and after, so any change stays reversible for 90 days. Destructive operations have a dry-run preview, refunds are dry-run by default and capped to the refundable total, and payment gateways, shipping zones and tax settings are read-only.

What makes a WooCommerce MCP safe enough for a live store?

Four things: changes land on a copy first, anything that moves money or many rows runs as a dry run before it is written, live changes wait for approval, and every write can be rolled back. Respira adds all four on every write, with 90 days of undo and read-only payment, shipping and tax settings. WooCommerce’s own abilities rely on WordPress permissions, which decide who may act; Respira adds the layer that decides whether a change is the one you meant.

Does Respira replace the official WooCommerce MCP?

No, it works next to it. WooCommerce ships canonical abilities for products and orders in core and is adding abilities to its extensions. Keep them connected. Respira runs in its own namespace, never shadows WooCommerce’s abilities, and adds what a store owner needs on top: changes on a copy with approval and 90 days of undo, the rest of the store (variations, brands, coupons, customers, refunds), the storefront in page builders, and the growth tools.

How is Respira different from the free community WooCommerce MCP servers?

Most community servers translate the WooCommerce REST API into tools, which is useful for reading and scripted edits. Respira adds the safety layer (copies first, dry runs, approval, a PII-safe audit log and 90 days of undo), the parts of the store a REST translation leaves raw (variations and swatches, brands, refunds, AI-readiness), and storefront editing in Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Flatsome and block themes.

Do I need the WooCommerce add-on?

Only if you are running a WooCommerce store and want to manage products, orders, and inventory through the AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or any MCP app.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel anytime from billing. You will have a 7-day grace period, then WooCommerce features are disabled. Data remains safe.

Does it work with all page builders?

Yes for the store itself: products, variations, coupons, orders, reports, feeds and the readiness score work on any WooCommerce site, whichever of the 19 supported page builders it uses. Storefront editing is narrower: product cards can be edited in Elementor, Divi, Bricks, Flatsome and block themes, and sale and low-stock badges are placed on block themes. Other builders get a clear unsupported answer instead of a false success.

Does it work on a block theme with no page builder?

Yes, properly, since 4.0.0\. Analysing a shop page on a block theme returns real structural analysis against the native archive-product template instead of "no page builder detected". Badges are positioned inside the product image, product card fields are addressable by canonical WooCommerce block name, and update\_checkout\_layout returns an honest capability error rather than a misleading one. Proven on WordPress 7.0.2, PHP 8.5, WooCommerce 10.9.4 and the stock Twenty Twenty-Five block theme. It is not yet proven on GreenShift. This came from a published field study by Dale Smith of revWorx (https://revworx.ai/), who builds only on FSE block themes and live-verified that the storefront tools went inert there.

Can it report on revenue and sales without exposing customer data?

Yes. Since 4.0.0 there are bounded, HPOS-compatible reports: revenue, a sales time series, top products, orders and privacy-safe customer summaries. Each one states its metric definitions and the coverage behind the number, so an agent quoting a figure can also say what that figure counts.

Can AI manage WooCommerce webhooks?

Yes, behind an approval gate. Webhook management uses the native WooCommerce webhooks, accepts HTTPS targets only, restricts topics to an allowlist, treats secrets as write-only so they are never returned, and keeps test deliveries redacted and rate limited.

Is technical support included?

Yes. Your WooCommerce add-on purchase includes technical support for WooCommerce features. Email word@respira.press directly for human support.

What happens if my subscription expires?

You get a 7-day grace period. After that, WooCommerce features are disabled while your data remains safe. Reactivate anytime.

Can AI modify my payment gateway settings?

No. Payment gateways, shipping zones, and tax settings are read-only. AI can read for context but cannot modify them.

What product types are supported?

Simple, variable, grouped, external, virtual, and downloadable products are supported.

Can AI process refunds?

Yes, with guardrails. Refunds are dry-run by default, so the AI previews the amount without moving any money; you have to explicitly confirm before a refund is issued. Every refund is capped to the order’s remaining refundable total and is snapshotted and audited.

Can AI assistants find and recommend my products?

That is what the agent-ready commerce layer (v3.1) does. The add-on generates always-fresh product feeds in six formats (Google Shopping, OpenAI/ChatGPT JSONL, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, CSV), serves a store llms.txt at your site root, scores your catalog against the Google Shopping spec, and creates signed cart links whose orders are attributed back to the AI assistant that sent them.

What is Respira ARC and do I need it if I have the add-on?

Respira ARC is the free plugin that ships the readable half: feeds, llms.txt, readiness score and cart links. The WooCommerce Add-on includes all of that plus the agent tools that act on a store. If both are installed, ARC steps aside automatically and settings carry over, so no, with the add-on you do not need ARC.

Does it support WooCommerce Subscriptions, Bookings and Memberships?

Yes, since v3.1\. List, inspect and update subscriptions (status transitions validated against what Subscriptions itself allows), reschedule bookings with a conflict scan, and manage membership statuses and end dates. Every write is dry-run by default and tested against the real extensions. Since v3.2 the add-on also reads and edits STAGGS product configurators.
