---

A client can leave feedback on a WordPress page without a login through a review link: they open the page, click the spot they mean and type a comment, with no WordPress account. Pastel, BugHerd, Markup.io, Simple Commenter, SureFeedback, Reviso, Proofment and Atarim all work this way, and Respira for WordPress has [Respira Murmur](https://www.respira.press/murmur), client feedback on the page, whose notes go to your AI agent. They differ in price, in where the comments are kept, and in what happens to a comment once you have read it.

I make Respira for WordPress, one of the tools below. Every fact about the others comes from their own site or WordPress.org listing, linked where it appears, read on 15 October 2026\.

Prices in the currency each vendor shows, as published on 15 October 2026\. Sources are linked in each section below.

## Five things that decide it

1. **The client’s first minute.** Every tool here lets a client comment without a WordPress account. Some ask for a name, some for a name and an email.
2. **Where the comment is pinned.** On the live page, on a copy of it inside the vendor’s app, or on a screenshot. A pin on the element survives a scroll and a resize; a screenshot does not move with the page.
3. **Where the comments are kept.** On the vendor’s service, or in your own WordPress database. For client work under privacy terms, the second is easier to sign off.
4. **What happens after you read it.** A task on a board, a ticket in Jira or Asana, or a change made by an agent on a copy of the page that you approve.
5. **How it is priced.** Per seat, per site, per project, or included in something you already pay for.

## Hosted feedback tools

These run on the vendor’s service and work on any site, WordPress or not.

### Pastel

[Pastel](https://usepastel.com/) is a review canvas for websites, PDFs and images: you share a link, and reviewers leave comments in line with “no login needed”. Its [plans page](https://usepastel.com/plans) says anyone can comment or view without an account on every plan, and that it accepts any kind of website, WordPress included, with no extension. There is a free plan for one user and one canvas, Pro at $35 a month or $29 a month billed yearly, and Team from $119 a month, or $99 a month billed yearly. Approvals are included on every plan.

**Fits:** design and marketing teams reviewing sites alongside PDFs and images in one place.

### BugHerd

[BugHerd](https://bugherd.com/) lets clients point, click and comment on the live site, and says clients need no account or login: you send them a link. Feedback stays pinned to the page element and becomes a task on BugHerd’s board. It installs as a one-line JavaScript tag or a browser extension. [Pricing](https://bugherd.com/pricing)starts at $50 a month for five members ($42 a month billed yearly), with unlimited client users and a free trial.

**Fits:** teams that run feedback as a bug-tracking workflow.

### Markup.io

[Markup.io](https://www.markup.io/) reviews live sites, images, PDFs and video: drop a link and comment on the page, and share with guests “with no registration required”. A Chrome extension creates MarkUps from the browser. [Pro](https://www.markup.io/pricing) starts at $79 a month or $990 a year, with a 14-day trial and no free plan.

**Fits:** teams reviewing many kinds of files, websites among them.

### Usersnap

[Usersnap](https://usersnap.com/pricing) is a product feedback platform: a widget and surveys, with screenshots and annotations taken on the page. People do not need to be team members to send feedback through the widget. Starter is €49 a month, or €39 a month billed yearly (the page shows dollars in some regions), with a free trial. Its [WordPress plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/usersnap/) was last updated on 26 June 2024 and WordPress.org notes it has not been tested with the latest three major releases.

**Fits:** product teams collecting feedback from users, more than client sign-off on a page.

### Simple Commenter

[Simple Commenter](https://simplecommenter.com/) pins comments to elements on the live page and records the browser and a screenshot with each one, with “no login needed for quick review rounds”. It installs as a code snippet, a [WordPress plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-commenter/) or a Chrome extension, and lists integrations with Asana, Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Slack and AI tools over MCP. The WordPress plugin needs a Simple Commenter account and says feedback is stored on the service’s EU servers. [Pro](https://simplecommenter.com/pricing) is $34.99 a month or $349.99 a year, with a 14-day trial.

**Fits:** agencies that want comments to flow into an existing project tool.

## WordPress feedback plugins

These live in wp-admin, and some keep the comments in your own database.

### Atarim (formerly WP FeedBack)

[WP FeedBack renamed itself Atarim](https://atarim.io/introducing-atarim/) in February 2021, when it moved to a hosted dashboard with the plugin as the client interface; wpfeedback.co now redirects to atarim.io. Today [Atarim](https://atarim.io/pricing/) sells AI agents that work on client sites, with visual feedback and task management in the same [plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/atarim-visual-collaboration/), whose listing offers guest access: anyone can leave feedback with no WordPress login. Its changelog says guest mode has been off by default since version 4.1.0, so you switch it on for client reviews. There is a free tier of 200 credits, once, on one site, and Pro at $67 a month.

**Fits:** agencies that want feedback and AI site work from the same vendor.

### SureFeedback

[SureFeedback](https://surefeedback.com/), from the team behind Astra and Spectra, lets clients click the page and point to changes on live sites or mockups. No login is required: a guest adds a name and an email and leaves the comment. It comes as a self-hosted WordPress plugin or a cloud service; the [SureFeedback Cloud plugin](https://wordpress.org/plugins/surefeedback-cloud/) is free and needs a SureFeedback Cloud account. [Cloud plans](https://surefeedback.com/pricing-cloud/) start at $199 for the first year for five sites, renewing at $299, with a 7-day trial. [Self-hosted plans](https://surefeedback.com/self-hosted-pricing/) start at $99 a year for one dashboard site.

**Fits:** WordPress agencies that want a self-hosted option.

### Reviso

[Reviso](https://wordpress.org/plugins/reviso-for-bricks/) pins comments to elements on live pages, with threaded replies, a suggest mode for wording changes, screenshots with the browser and screen size, and panels inside Bricks, Elementor and the block editor. Reviewers do not need a WordPress account, and the comments stay in Reviso’s own tables in your WordPress database. The free plugin covers pinned comments and single-page review links. [Pro](https://getreviso.io/pricing)is $9 a month or $89 a year for three sites, Agency $29 a month for unlimited sites, and an opt-in cloud AI assistant is in beta. Version 1.7.2, 200+ active installs.

**Fits:** builders on Bricks or Elementor who want feedback inside the builder and data on their own site.

### Proofment

[Proofment](https://wordpress.org/plugins/proofment-website-client-feedback/) is a free plugin that turns WordPress into review mode: a private link, a reviewer types a name, browses normally and leaves pinned comments, and can approve a page once its open comments are resolved. It stores only hashes of review tokens and sends review data to no external service. It is new: version 1.0.1, updated on 26 August 2026, with fewer than 10 active installs.

**Fits:** a free, self-contained review round with page approvals.

### Respira Murmur

Murmur on a demo bakery site: the link, the note on the page, the change on a copy.

[Respira Murmur](https://www.respira.press/murmur) is the review link in Respira for WordPress: a signed link to a WordPress page. The client opens it with no login and no account, types a name once, taps the spot they mean and leaves a note, typed or spoken, with an email if they want a reply. The pin stays on the page, numbered, and the next reviewer sees it. A link covers the pages you name and expires on its own, after 14 days by default or 1 to 90 if you ask.

Where it differs is what happens next. Each note lands in your Respira dashboard and in Respira AER, the chat in your Respira dashboard that edits your WordPress sites, with the page, the quoted text and the builder element under the pin. Claude or ChatGPT, connected to the site, read the same notes. The agent applies them on a copy of the page, you approve the copy before it goes live, and each resolved note keeps the snapshot that changed it. The links and notes are stored in your own WordPress database first.

Where it is weaker: it works only on WordPress sites running Respira, it is not sold on its own, and it lists no integrations with Jira, Asana or Trello. It is included on the Builder plan, €19 a month for 5 sites, and up, and on active paid launch Starter and Agency licenses. On Builder a note is text only. Studio and Founder add up to three photos per note, a picture of the pinned spot, the device it was left on, and a receipt when it is resolved. To connect the agent side, see the [WordPress MCP server](https://www.respira.press/mcp) or how to [connect Claude to WordPress](https://www.respira.press/integrations/claude).

**Fits:** agencies already working on client sites with an AI agent, who want the client’s note to become the change.

## How to choose

- **Feedback on more than websites (PDFs, images, video):** [Pastel](#pastel) or [Markup.io](#markup).
- **Feedback as bug tickets with a task board:** [BugHerd](#bugherd), or [Simple Commenter](#simple-commenter) feeding Jira, Asana or Linear.
- **Free, with comments kept on your own site:** [Reviso](#reviso) or [Proofment](#proofment).
- **A self-hosted WordPress plugin from an established vendor:** [SureFeedback](#surefeedback).
- **Notes that an AI agent turns into a change you approve:** [Respira Murmur](#murmur), or [Atarim](#atarim) if you want the agents from the same vendor as the feedback.

## Questions people ask

### How can a client leave feedback on a WordPress page without a login?

Send them a review link from a feedback tool. They open the page, click the spot they mean and type a comment, with a name and sometimes an email, and no WordPress account. Pastel, BugHerd, Markup.io, Simple Commenter, SureFeedback, Reviso, Proofment, Atarim (once its guest mode is switched on) and Respira Murmur, client feedback on the page inside Respira for WordPress, all work this way. Usersnap collects feedback from a widget without an account, as an annotated screenshot.

### Which client feedback tools for WordPress are free?

Proofment is free. Reviso has a free plugin on WordPress.org with pinned comments and single-page review links, and a paid Pro. Pastel has a free plan for one user and one canvas. Atarim has a free tier of 200 credits on one site. BugHerd, Markup.io, Usersnap, Simple Commenter and SureFeedback offer trials. Respira Murmur comes with Respira for WordPress on the Builder plan and up, and on active paid launch Starter and Agency licenses.

### Can the comments stay on my own WordPress site?

Yes, with a plugin that stores them in your database. Reviso keeps comments in its own tables on your site, Proofment says it sends review data to no external service, and Respira Murmur stores links and notes in two tables in your WordPress database before relaying them to your Respira dashboard. SureFeedback has a self-hosted plugin as well as a cloud version. The hosted tools keep comments on their own service, and the Simple Commenter plugin says feedback is stored on its EU-based servers.

### What happened to WP FeedBack?

WP FeedBack renamed itself Atarim in February 2021, when it moved from a plugin to a hosted service with the plugin as the client interface. wpfeedback.co now redirects to atarim.io. Today Atarim describes itself as AI agents for client websites, with visual feedback and guest access as part of it.

### Can an AI agent act on client feedback?

Some of these connect feedback to AI. In Respira Murmur, each note reaches your Respira dashboard and Respira AER, the chat in your Respira dashboard that edits your WordPress sites, and Claude or ChatGPT can read the same notes; the agent makes the change on a copy of the page that you approve. Atarim runs its own AI agents on client sites. Simple Commenter lists integrations with AI tools over MCP, and Reviso has an opt-in cloud AI assistant in beta.

### Can a client approve the page, not only comment on it?

Proofment lets a reviewer approve a page once its open comments are resolved. Reviso records client approvals with a timestamp, and Pastel lists approvals on every plan. In Respira for WordPress, a change waiting on a copy can be approved from its preview, and a reviewer without a login can get a signed approval link.

### Is Respira Murmur a separate plugin?

No. It is part of the Respira for WordPress plugin, from version 8.9.0, on the Builder plan (€19 a month for 5 sites) and up, and on active paid launch Starter and Agency licenses. On Studio and Founder a note can also carry up to three photos, a picture of the pinned spot, the device it was left on, and a receipt when it is resolved.

## How I put this together

I read each tool’s own site, pricing page or WordPress.org listing on 15 October 2026 and linked the source next to each claim. Prices are what each vendor publishes, in the currency it shows. Where a vendor does not say something, the page does not guess. If something here is out of date, write to [word@respira.press](mailto:word@respira.press) and I will correct it.
