# Respira and All in One SEO

With All in One SEO 4 active, Respira writes a page's SEO title, meta description, canonical URL, robots settings and social titles through All in One SEO's own save, so the page head and the All in One SEO editor both show the change.

## What works

- Pages and posts: SEO title, meta description, canonical URL, Open Graph title, description and image, X (Twitter) title, description and image, written into the table All in One SEO 4 reads (plugin 9.2.7).
- Robots: a value such as "noindex, nofollow" is written to All in One SEO's own robots settings, plus noarchive, nosnippet, noimageindex, notranslate and noodp.
- Only the fields you send change. A focus keyphrase or schema set in the All in One SEO editor stays as it was, on every All in One SEO 4 version.
- A draft duplicate starts with the live page's All in One SEO settings, and approving it carries the new ones to the live page.
- Reading a page's SEO back shows what All in One SEO shows. All in One SEO keys an agent sends as meta (\_aioseo\_title, \_aioseo\_description) are written through the same save, and the answer says so in meta\_warnings.
- Tested on a real site with All in One SEO 5.0.3: the new title, description, noindex, canonical URL and Open Graph title appear in the page head and in All in One SEO's editor.

## What it does not do

- Focus keyphrases and schema are not written; set them in the All in One SEO editor.
- Category, tag and other term SEO is not written or read for All in One SEO yet; the answer says so and points to the All in One SEO term editor.
- All in One SEO's site-wide settings, sitemap and Redirection Manager are not read or written. New redirects go to Redirection or Respira's own list.
- All in One SEO 3 sites keep the older post meta fields, which that version reads.

## The tools involved

`respira_update_page`

Writes the page's SEO fields through its seo object, on a draft copy of a published page.

`respira_update_post`

The same for posts.

`respira_analyze_seo`

Reads the page and its SEO fields and reports what to fix.

`respira_check_seo_issues`

Finds missing or duplicate titles and descriptions across the site.

Every write saves a snapshot first, and on a published page the change lands on a draft copy you approve.

## Prompts to try

- `Write an All in One SEO title and meta description for every service page that has none, under 60 and 155 characters.`
- `Set the old pricing page to noindex and point its canonical URL to the new one.`
- `Give the five newest posts an Open Graph title that reads well when shared.`
