Release 5.0 Haven: every AI edit now has an undo button

Hi,

5.0 is live. This one matters.

The more people use Respira, the more they skip duplicates and edit live pages directly. It's faster. The results are good. But there was no way back. WordPress revisions only store title, content, and excerpt. Your builder data, your Elementor layouts, your Divi modules, your metadata — none of that gets captured.

So I built the undo button.

What shipped:

• Automatic rollback points. Every Respira edit now creates both a WordPress revision and a full-fidelity snapshot. Builder data, metadata, custom fields — everything WordPress revisions miss. Every write operation through MCP or WebMCP auto-snapshots before changing anything.
• The Changes page. One place in wp-admin for everything AI has touched on your site. Pending duplicates at the top, full version history below. Preview diffs. One-click restore. Pin the versions that matter.
• Merge mode. Approving a duplicate now writes into the original post instead of swapping. Your URLs, menu links, and internal references stay exactly where they are. This is the new default.
• Storage management. See how much space your versions use. Purge old ones. Pin the important ones. Clean up on your terms.

One behavior change to know about: merge mode is now the default for all post types. If your workflow depends on the old swap behavior, test on staging before updating production. There's an opt-out filter in the release notes.

Update your plugin — no MCP server update needed, MCP stays at 4.0.8.

Also today: WordPress.com shipped AI write capabilities for their hosted platform (19 Gutenberg tools). Respira covers the other side: self-hosted WordPress with 103 tools across 11 page builders. I wrote about both:

• WordPress and AI just entered a new phase. Officially. — for 20 years, WordPress has been edited through interfaces. Now conversation is the interface.
• WordPress.com MCP vs Respira — side by side comparison — scenarios, safety, pricing, builder support

Launch pricing update: 22 Starter and 14 Agency plans left at the original price. Both are stackable — grab multiple to cover more sites under the same account. View pricing
