respira_delete_skill

Move a site skill to the trash. Approval-gated: the first call returns code: respira_approval_required with data.approval_request.approval_token and deletes nothing; a person confirms, and the retry passes that exact token in approval_token. The token is for the person, not for the agent: show them the predicted effect, ask, and send it back only after they say yes. The site owner can restore a trashed skill from Respira > AI Skills in wp-admin. A skill marked as not editable by agents refuses this call.

What it changes

It moves the skill to the trash, where the owner can restore it. Nothing on the public site changes. Approval-gated like deleting a page. On a connection set to read-only it is refused with respira_scope_denied.

When it fails

  • respira_approval_required: the expected first answer. Approve, then call again with the token.
  • The skill is marked as not editable by agents: refused, with a sentence telling the agent that only the site owner can change it from Respira > AI Skills.

Availability

Plugin 9.1.0 and MCP server 8.4.0. On the site's own MCP endpoint the tool is respira_wordpress_delete_skill; over REST it is DELETE /respira/v1/skills/{name}.

Notes

  • Prefer switching a skill off (respira_write_skill with enabled: false) when the instructions may come back
