Murmur: Review and Request Links
title: Murmur: Review and Request Links description: Murmur links let a client open a page or the whole site with no WordPress login and leave notes on the spot they mean. A review link is for work in progress and ends on a date. A request link is the one a client keeps to ask for changes on the live site.
What Murmur is
A Murmur link is a signed address to a WordPress site. The person who opens it needs no login. A small bar appears on the page, they click the spot they mean and write a note. The note reaches you, and your AI app can read it and act on it.
Nobody who opens a Murmur link can change the site. A note is a note: it changes nothing until you or your agent apply it on a draft and you approve the draft.
Murmur is part of the Builder plan and up.
Two kinds of link
| Review link | Request link | |
|---|---|---|
| For | Work in progress: a page or a staging site you want comments on | The live site after launch: a link your client keeps |
| Covers | One page, several pages, or the whole site | The whole site |
| Ends | After 14 days by default, 90 at most | Never, until you revoke it |
| The bar says | leave a comment | request a change |
| Needs | Any plugin version with Murmur | Respira plugin 9.1.16 and MCP server 8.4.14 |
Make a request link
Ask your AI app:
Make a Murmur request link for this site, labelled "Atelier Popescu, changes".
The agent calls respira_create_review_link with kind: "request" and gives you the address. Send it to your client. One link per label: asking again with the same label returns the same link, unless you revoked it.
In Respira AER, type the same sentence in the chat.
What your client sees
- They open the link. The site looks as it always does, with a small bar at the bottom that says request a change.
- They press it and click the spot the request is about.
- They write what should change, with their name and, if they want a reply, an email.
- After sending, the bar says the request reached the people who look after the site.
They can also see the requests already made on that page and whether each one is done.
What you get
- The request appears in your dashboard under Feedback, marked as a request, with the page and the spot.
- The first request on a link sends you an email. Later ones on the same link arrive in an hourly digest.
- In Respira AER, the
/reviewscard lists open notes and requests by page. - Your agent reads them with
respira_list_review_comments(passkind: "request"to list only requests), applies each one on a draft of the page, and marks it resolved. You approve the draft before anything is live.
Limits and safety
- A request link shows published pages only. No drafts, no editor, no settings.
- One person can send up to 10 requests in 10 minutes, and one link accepts up to 30 an hour from everyone together.
- A request holds up to 2,000 characters.
- Revoke a link at any time: ask your agent to revoke it, or use the Feedback screen in wp-admin. A revoked link stops working at once.
- Someone logged in as an editor of the site is never treated as a reviewer.
