What a seat costs

a plan buys your sites. a seat is what you add when another person works alongside you. the honest version of the deal: your first client is free, and everyone who can change a site is paid.

• Owner. always free, sees every site.
• Your first client. free, on every plan. read-only, pinned to the sites you pick.
• Every client after that. €3 a month each, the cheapest seat there is, because a client can only read.
• Editors. €5 a month each, from the first one. an editor can change a site, so there is no free one.
• Admins. €10 a month each, from the first one. an admin sees every site and manages people.

seats sit on top of your plan and are billed monthly. there is no annual seat to buy and no upfront pack to size, you add people and the month sorts itself out.

What counts as active

a seat is active in a month when that person ran at least one agent command or made at least one change through the team. that is the whole test.

• Not active. signing in, viewing your sites, reading the audit log, opening a page to look at it. watching is free.
• Full access either way. an inactive member keeps everything they would have if they were active. they cost nothing until the month they act.
• Not accepted, not billed. someone you invited who has not joined yet is never billed.
• A quiet seat does not take the free slot. the free client seat goes to a client who was actually active, so a dormant row never leaves a working client paying.

On Maker, your team is you plus one client

Maker is a one site plan, so it stays simple. you plus one free client seat, and nothing billable. no paid editor, admin or client seats, even during the free window, so there is no cliff waiting for you at the end of it.

that free seat is your client handoff seat. if you build a site for someone and want to hand them a read-only login, that is the seat. paid seats of every kind start on Builder.

Your first client seat is free

a client seat is read-only and pinned to the sites you choose, so that person sees their own site and nothing else. the first one is free on every plan. every client after that is €3 a month, and only in a month that seat was active.

it used to be that every client seat was free without limit. that made the paid seat close to decorative: an agency could run ten editing clients and pay nothing for people. one free read-only seat is the offer now. it is enough to show a customer their own site at no cost, not enough to run a studio on. paid client seats are available on Builder and above.

Your first 30 days are free

every new team gets 30 days with unlimited seats free, on Builder and above. on Maker your team is you plus one free client, and the cap holds through the window so nothing changes on you at the end of it.

• The clock starts on your first invite. not when you make the team and not when you open the page. the 30 days begin the moment you send your first invite.
• Set once. the start date is recorded a single time and i never reset it.
• No countdown here. the counter lives in your dashboard once you have invited someone, where it belongs.

How the charge works

seats are billed monthly, in arrears. that means a receipt for the month that already happened, not a charge taken up front for time you have not used.

• Prorated by active days. a seat is prorated by the days it was active in the period, the days it ran a command or changed a site, not by how long the person has been a member. quiet days cost nothing.
• Read from real activity. a nightly check reads your team's work and records who was active that period. quiet seats record nothing.
• A legible invoice. the line items read plainly, for example three active editors at €5, one admin at €10 and two extra clients at €3.

Nothing bills by surprise

when your free window ends, nothing starts billing until you choose how you want it to work. there is no silent switch that flips you onto a bill.

• Auto bill. active seats bill for the month, quiet seats cost nothing and you get a clean receipt.
• Ask each. i check with you before a new person's activity starts to bill, so a new face never lands on a bill you did not expect.
• No choice, no charge. if you have not chosen by day 30, everyone past you and your free client seat pauses. they keep dashboard access, nothing is deleted and nothing bills. one tap on a banner brings them back the moment you decide.

every consent, mode change and pause is written to your team audit log, so the record of what you agreed to is yours to read at any time.

White label follows the same promise

white label puts your studio's brand on the plugin your clients see. it comes in two tiers: €200 a year for up to 3 sites, €500 a year for every site on your plan. turning it on per site is a free toggle, never a billing dimension, and the same fairness rules apply to it as to seats.

• A fourth site never blocks client work. if you are on the 3 site tier and turn your brand on for a fourth site, nothing switches off and no client ever sees a broken admin. the site keeps working and you get an honest note from me about the bigger tier instead, so the decision happens on your schedule, not mid handoff.
• The downshift is my job, not yours. if you pay for all sites but your brand has been on 3 or fewer for two months, i offer you the smaller tier myself. you should never have to notice you are overpaying.

Founding members stay free

anyone holding a seat when team accounts launched is free for life. that is recorded on the seat itself and it does not expire.
