Terms of Service
Clear rules for using Respira safely with AI workflows. Please read the risk summary first before using live sites.
Quick navigation
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Respira for WordPress ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Important Risk Summary
Please read this first: Respira is designed to reduce risk, but it cannot remove risk from editing WordPress sites with AI.
- AI can make mistakes and can break layouts, content, or functionality.
- You are responsible for reviewing changes before publishing.
- You are responsible for backups and staging-first testing.
- Lite (launching soon) has reduced safety controls and no duplicate-before-edit workflow.
- The Service is provided "as-is" without guarantees.
3. Description of Service
Respira for WordPress connects AI tools to WordPress through secure API and MCP workflows. It is offered in two versions:
- Respira for WordPress Lite (launching soon) — Planned free version with limited safety/features.
- Respira for WordPress (Paid Plans) — Starter/Agency with extended workflows, support, and safety features.
The Service includes plugin software, MCP connectivity, licensing infrastructure for paid plans, and related documentation/support.
4. AI Disclaimer
AI outputs are probabilistic and may contain errors, unsafe suggestions, broken code, inaccurate statements, or unsuitable edits. We do not validate every AI-generated action before you execute or approve it.
You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated changes before publishing. This includes content, layout, SEO metadata, code snippets, and builder-specific changes.
If you approve and publish a change, you are responsible for that production decision.
5. License and Usage Rights
5.1 License Grant
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own sites or sites you are authorized to manage.
5.2 License Restrictions
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble paid software beyond what law permits.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute paid license keys.
- Use the Service for unlawful activity.
- Use the Service to access or edit sites without authorization.
5.3 Open-Source and Proprietary Components
Lite (launching soon), distributed through WordPress.org, will follow WordPress.org licensing requirements. Paid plan components, packaging, and licensing infrastructure remain proprietary unless explicitly stated otherwise.
6. Plans, Safety Differences, and Compatibility
6.1 Lite vs Paid Safety
- Lite (launching soon): Reduced safety controls and no duplicate-before-edit workflow.
- Paid plans: Include additional review/safety workflows such as duplicate-first operations and approvals.
By choosing Lite (launching soon), you acknowledge and accept the reduced safety model.
6.2 Page Builder Support (Best Effort)
We support 11 major page builders on a best-effort basis. Builders, themes, and plugins can change at any time, and those changes may temporarily break compatibility or alter behavior.
We do not guarantee compatibility with every theme/plugin/builder combination, custom implementation, or hosting stack.
7. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Review all AI changes before publishing.
- Maintain tested backups of your site and database.
- Test in staging before applying to production.
- Secure your API keys, license keys, and account credentials.
- Use the Service only on sites you own or are authorized to manage.
- Accept reduced safety controls when using Lite (launching soon).
Operational best practice: Keep daily backups, test restore procedures regularly, and verify critical pages after publishing.
8. Third-Party AI and External Services
Respira integrates with third-party services such as AI tools, hosting providers, and payment systems. We do not control those services, their uptime, model behavior, or legal terms.
When you connect tools like Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, or similar assistants, data you send to those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You are responsible for complying with those terms.
We are not responsible for errors, outages, policy changes, or data handling decisions made by third-party providers.
9. Service Availability and Warranties
We aim to keep the Service stable and useful, but no software is perfect.
The Service is provided "as-is" and "as-available", without warranties of any kind.
- No guarantee of uninterrupted service.
- No guarantee that AI outputs are correct or safe.
- No guarantee of compatibility in every environment.
- No guarantee against downtime, data loss, or site breakage.
If mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction grants rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1 Liability Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service is limited to: €500 or the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months, whichever is less.
10.2 Excluded Damages
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunity, lost data, site downtime, reputational damage, or replacement costs.
We are also not liable for damages caused by AI-generated content/actions, third-party service failures, or your decision to publish unreviewed changes.
10.3 Allocation of Risk
You acknowledge that pricing reflects this allocation of risk and that these limits are a core part of the agreement.
11. Indemnification and Hold Harmless
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Respira and Mihai Dragomirescu from claims, liabilities, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, including: unauthorized access, unlawful use, breach of these Terms, client claims tied to your operations, or publishing AI-generated changes without appropriate review and backup practices.
We may assume defense/control of claims covered by this section, and you agree to reasonably cooperate.
12. Payments, Refunds, and Licensing
Paid subscriptions are billed through Polar. Launch-era annual licenses are billed through Lemon Squeezy. Respira for WordPress Lite is available as a free tier on the WordPress.org plugin directory.
All paid plans include a 14-day refund policy, no questions asked. Contact word@respira.press for refund requests within that window. Maker subscribers additionally receive a 7-day free trial before billing begins, giving a total of 21 days to evaluate.
License seats, renewal terms, and plan limits are defined by the active plan shown in your account. Subscription plans (Maker, Builder, Studio) are billed monthly or annually with automatic renewal. Founder Lifetime Access is a one-time purchase with no renewal required.
13. Community Skills and Third-Party Content
Skills and community-contributed workflows may be authored by third parties. We curate for relevance, but we do not guarantee correctness, safety, legal compliance, or production suitability of each contribution.
You are responsible for testing community skills before production use. Skill authors are responsible for their own content/code.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for misuse, legal risk, or breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms over time. Material updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Any disputes are subject to the competent courts in Romania.
