Common Issues

MCP Server Not Connecting

  • Verify the path to the MCP server is correct
  • Check that Node.js is installed: node --version
  • Ensure the MCP server was built: npm run build
  • Check the MCP server logs for errors

API Key Not Working

  • Verify the API key is correct (no extra spaces or line breaks)
  • Check that the API key is active in WordPress admin
  • Ensure your WordPress site URL is correct (include https://)
  • Check the audit log in WordPress admin for failed requests

Page Builder Not Detected

  • Ensure the page builder plugin is installed and activated
  • Check that you're viewing a page/post built with the page builder
  • Some page builders require PRO version of Respira

Changes Not Saving

  • Respira uses a duplicate-first workflow - check for duplicate pages
  • Verify you have permission to edit the page/post
  • Check the audit log for error messages
  • Ensure content validation is passing (check security settings)
