Respira and Redirection
With Redirection active, Respira creates, changes and deletes redirects through Redirection's own classes, so each one shows in Redirection's screens, logs and cache like one made there, and it refuses the redirects that would break a site.
What works
- Writes go through Redirection's own model classes, never its tables, so a redirect appears in Redirection like one you made by hand.
- WordPress's own addresses (wp-admin, the login page, the REST API and the rest) are refused as a source.
- A loop, directly or through redirects any manager on the site already has, is refused, and a chain longer than one hop is reported.
- A permanent redirect to an address that answers with an error or nothing is refused unless a reason is given.
- The home page, and a pattern that catches every address, wait for a person's approval. Every write keeps a snapshot, so a restore undoes it.
- Without Redirection, Respira keeps its own list and serves it, with the same checks and the same regular expression rules.
What it does not do
- Rank Math's Redirections module, Yoast SEO Premium, Safe Redirect Manager and Simple 301 Redirects are read, for the loop check and the list, and never written.
- Redirection's 404 log and its import and export are not used by these tools.

Every write saves a snapshot first, and on a published page the change lands on a draft copy you approve.
