Fair Usage

Fair Usage keeps a stable, fair experience for everyone on Respira. The limits are generous. This page explains the few cases where usage may need a larger plan or a custom agreement.

Key point A heads-up first, never a silent lockout

What Fair Usage is What your license covers When an upgrade applies How it is handled

What Fair Usage is

Respira is built and run by one person. Fair Usage is how that stays sustainable while limits stay generous for real work. It is not a trap and it is not metered. It is simply the line between normal use and patterns that would degrade the experience for everyone else, or resell the product without an appropriate plan.

Respira does not charge per action or per page. Plans are flat, by the number of sites you connect. Fair Usage is the simple alternative that lets those flat plans stay flat.

What your license covers

A Respira plan is licensed for the sites you operate, up to your plan's site count. Each WordPress site you connect counts as one site against your plan total, and in a Multisite network each subsite counts as one site slot.

Your license is for your own work and your own clients. It is not for reselling Respira features to third parties as a service of your own without an appropriate plan or agreement.

When an upgrade or custom agreement applies

A few patterns may require moving to a larger plan or a custom agreement:

  • Excessive account sharing across people or organizations beyond your plan's seats.
  • Repeated license transfers between unrelated websites.
  • Running a single-user plan as a team.
  • Reselling Respira features to third parties without an appropriate plan.

None of these are common. If usage crosses one of these lines, it usually just means a larger plan or a custom agreement fits the work better.

How it is handled

The first step is always a message, not a lockout. You get a heads-up and a clear path to the right plan or a custom agreement. There are no surprise suspensions for normal use.

Not sure whether your setup fits your plan? Email word@respira.press and ask. No pressure.

Your AI forgets your site every session. Resonance remembers. Every Respira site now carries a persistent memory for AI agents: conventions the agent honors in every session, and rules the plugin enforces at the write path. It also reads the Knowledge experiment WordPress core is building toward, on real production sites today.

MCP 2026-07-28 is final. What changes for WordPress and Respira? The stable specification removes protocol sessions, adds server discovery, hardens authorization, and formalizes extensions. Respira 8.1 implements it with a tested legacy path, while Webflow MCP 2.0 shows why production governance matters.
