A network of warm lights against a dark forest — the first 100

Announcement Pricing

Pricing, philosophy, and the first 100

A letter disguised as a product announcement.

April 2, 2026 Letter

This is a letter disguised as a product announcement.

Today I'm launching new pricing for Respira for WordPress. Three subscription tiers. A Founder lifetime plan. Proper billing through Polar. The kind of infrastructure a growing product needs.

But before the details, I want to talk about the people who got here first.

The first 100

Between October 2025 and today, 100 people purchased a Respira license. Some bought Starter at 19 euros for a year. Some bought Agency at 199. A few bought both. Some stacked multiple plans to cover more sites.

One person asked for a 500-site license before there was even a tier for it.

They did this when the product had rough edges. When site switching had a bug that wrote to the wrong site. When token usage was higher than it should have been. When the approval interface was confusing.

Some of them asked for refunds. Every single one was processed, no questions asked, within hours. And then something unusual happened: the bugs they found were published, the fixes were named after their feedback, and better versions shipped because of what they reported.

One refund request became the best release yet. Three pain points from one honest email turned into three features that made Respira meaningfully better for everyone.

That's not a failure story. That's how a product should grow.

Thank you

If you were one of those 100 people, your first name is now on a Thank You page. You'll find it in the Respira dashboard and inside the WordPress plugin itself. Not a mailing list. Not a leaderboard. Just first names, quietly listed, of the people who believed early.

Your launch license is fully grandfathered. Same price, same terms, same everything. The new pricing doesn't affect you at all.

What's new

Respira now has three subscription tiers:

Maker

For one site

€9/mo · €71/yr

Every feature included. 7-day free trial. If you want to see what Respira can do, start here. Everything you build during the trial is yours to keep. The plugin does not undo your work.

Builder

For freelancers · 5 or 10 sites

Same features as Maker, plus the multi-site tools that make sense when you're juggling clients: SiteSwitch, MigrationKit, Skills Library.

Studio

For agencies · 25 to 250 sites

Everything in Builder plus WooCommerce, SitePacks, NetworkBridge for Multisite, AccessScan for WCAG compliance, and EditGuard for usage governance.

Every feature is available on every plan. The tiers differ by number of sites, nothing else. A Maker customer gets the same accessibility scanner, the same SEO tools, the same AI integrations as a Studio customer with 250 sites. That's the deal.

The Founder plan

5 seats · €5,001 once

Unlimited sites, unlimited edits, every add-on shipped, forever.

Plus a private Slack channel, quarterly calls, and your name permanently on the Founding Members page.

The extra euro over 5,000 funds one coffee in Brașov. Anti-marketing pricing: no 4,999 here.

These seats are for the people who want to be part of what Respira becomes. Not just customers. Collaborators.

What doesn't change

The philosophy.

All features for everyone. No gated capabilities behind expensive tiers. Edit limits exist to catch runaway AI agents, not to monetize normal usage. 14-day refund on every plan, no questions asked. Same support for every customer, no priority tiers.

Simple systems that breathe.

I build Respira with Claude Code during late nights in Brașov, Romania. Solo founder. No investors. No team (yet). Just stubbornness, a good AI partner, and 100 people who proved the idea was worth pursuing.

Soon to be more.
